Helen is a small animal vet turned coach and trainer with 15 years of experience. Passionate about neurodiversity in veterinary medicine after her ADHD diagnosis, she specializes in leadership, career transitions, and coaching neurodivergent team members. She’s an ICF-accredited coach and is completing a postgraduate certificate in Business and Personal Coaching at the University of Chester.

Helen Allwood, ACC, BVSc, MRCVS is a dedicated coach and trainer with 15 years of experience as a small animal veterinarian. She began her career in mixed practice and now focuses entirely on supporting veterinary professionals through coaching. When not working, she enjoys managing a growing flock of sheep alongside her farm vet husband and three children.
Following her own late diagnosis of ADHD, Helen is passionate about increasing awareness of neurodiversity in veterinary workplaces. She helps teams recognize and embrace the strengths of neurodivergent professionals, fostering inclusive and supportive environments.
Helen specializes in coaching individuals through leadership development, career transitions, and returning to work after maternity leave, illness, or a career break. She is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) credentialed coach (ACC) and is currently completing a postgraduate certificate in Business and Personal Coaching with the University of Chester.
Through her coaching, Helen empowers veterinary professionals to navigate challenges, build confidence, and create fulfilling, sustainable careers.
