Kira is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Veterinary Technician with over two decades of experience in emergency and critical care settings, including more than half of that time in leadership roles across the East Coast. With a unique blend of clinical expertise, nonprofit leadership training, and mental health qualifications, she brings a holistic and compassionate approach to her work. Kira specializes in grief and loss support, leadership and veterinary management coaching, and career development for veterinary professionals at all levels.

With more than 24 years in veterinary emergency and critical care—including over 13 years in leadership roles across the East Coast—Kira Valentine, MSW, MNPA, LCSW (RI), CVT (RI) brings a powerful blend of clinical experience, administrative insight, and emotional intelligence to her coaching work. She understands the highs and lows of veterinary life and is passionate about helping others create careers that are both meaningful and sustainable.

Kira pursued a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Administration to enhance her knowledge of business and HR practices, while also gaining skills in areas like grant writing and collaborative leadership. Her commitment to mental health and wellbeing led her to earn a Masters in Social Work and clinical licensure, equipping her to support the emotional needs of veterinary teams with compassion and skill.

Kira’s coaching is grounded in real-world veterinary experience and trauma-informed mental health practices. She works with individuals and teams to navigate grief and loss, strengthen leadership capabilities, build stronger, more cohesive teams, and plan fulfilling career paths.
