Our Story
Reviving Veterinary Medicine (RVM) was founded by Dr. Marie Holowaychuk with a clear mission: to improve the mental health and wellbeing of veterinary professionals around the world. After facing burnout and recognizing the need for change, Dr. Marie committed to transforming her life and helping others do the same. As a board-certified small animal emergency and critical care specialist, she expanded her expertise by studying mental health, mindfulness, and self-care.

Driven by her passion for teaching and mentoring, Dr. Marie began sharing her insights worldwide—speaking at conferences, facilitating workshops, and leading retreats focused on veterinary wellness. This led to the launch of the Reviving Vet Med blog, newsletter, and podcast, creating a platform for evidence-based, practical information aimed at promoting the wellbeing of veterinary teams.
Today, Reviving Veterinary Medicine is more than just Dr. Marie’s vision—it’s a growing movement supported by a dedicated team committed to creating individual and systemic change in the veterinary profession.
